D.E. McDowell Designs didn’t begin with a storefront or a large inventory. It began in 2016, when founder Dajuan E. McDowell was just 14 years old, with creativity, determination, and a growing passion for design.

 

What started with creating flyers, obituaries, and custom graphics for family, friends, churches, businesses, and members of the community gradually became something much bigger. With every project came another opportunity to learn, create, and build a name people could trust.

 

By 2024, that childhood passion had grown into a vision worth making official. D.E. McDowell Designs became a registered business, marking a new chapter and laying the foundation for continued growth.

 

With an appreciation for style, presentation, and helping people find something that feels uniquely their own, Dajuan saw an opportunity to expand the D.E. McDowell Designs brand beyond graphic design. In 2026, at just 24 years old, he officially stepped into the fashion and retail world, expanding the business to include men’s fashion, ties, accessories, fragrances, jewelry, home décor ribbons, gifts, specialty items, and more.

 

Today, D.E. McDowell Designs represents nearly a decade of growth from a 14-year-old discovering his creative talents to a young entrepreneur continuing to build and expand his vision.

 

What began with design has grown into a brand centered around creativity, style, and personal service with much more still to come.
